    Description

    Up for bid is The first 1980 Hess Gasoline Tanker Truck with Hose.  The truck is 11" long, 3 1/2" wide and 3 7/8" high. The truck is marked Amerada Hess Corporation Made in Hong Kong MCML XXX as shown in picture 7.  Picture 8 shows a battery compartment that holds one D battery.  I did not have a battery so don't know what the truck does or even if it works.  Most likely the lights come on.  Picture 9 shows the compartment that holds the battery in. Picture 10 shows  the tip on the left side is missing and picture 11 shows that the release latch has had a glue repair over the years.  The lid that covers the battery stays in place once you put it in position as shown in picture 6.  Overall the truck is in good shape and makes a nice display.  Please review all pictures to insure your satisfaction before bidding and good luck.
