    Indonesia - Sumatra MC Decaf
    Indonesia is an archipelago of more than 17,000 islands, and Sumatra is the second largest of these. The islands were formed by volcanic activity, and their mineral-rich soil—fortified with volcanic ash and diverse plant life—have helped to make Indonesia's coffees among the most famous and celebrated around the world.
    Indonesia's coffee plantations cover a total area of approximately 1.24 million hectares.   More than 90% of total plantations are cultivated by small-scale growers who own relatively small plantations of about 1-2 hectares each.
    Methylene Chloride (MC) is a chemical used in decaffeinating different types of coffees, coming from all around the world. During the process, the coffee beans are soaked in hot water where the caffeine is extracted and the MC is added to the mixture to bind to the caffeine. it draws 99% of the caffeine from the beans while leaving behind the beans’ flavor oils. Our MC decaffeinated Indonesian coffee is bold and flavorful.
