    Description

Antique advertising cardboard store sign for George P. Ide & Company, makers of fine men's fashions from New York.  I read that this company began in the 1880s.  This was probably designed to be put in a window or general clothing store.  It features a handsome chap driving in his 1920s roadster racing car in a Ide shirt and Ide tie.  This sign is made of cardboard and measures 18 x 11 inches.  Please review photos carefully as it does have wear, consistent for the age.  It has corner chips, a crease at the top, creases on the edges and corners.  There are also light stains across the front of the piece.  The back is blank.  The right side image is colorful and the image is clear.  Great advertising for early men's vintage and antique fashion, as well as automobile collectors of the roaring 1920s.  We'll custom-pack this for safe shipping.  Enjoy!
